FARM fights the cruel confinement, mutilation and slaughter of helpless factory farmed animals, while reducing global warming and improving health in America and worldwide.

Human Interest Story

Alex Hershaft founded FARM in 1981. As a Holocaust survivor who lost most of his family, he became convinced that he must pay for his survival by dedicating his life to the pursuit of justice, particularly for the most oppressed beings - farmed animals.

FARM is the oldest organization working solely on farmed animal issues (who represent 98% of all abused animals). As a national activist organization, FARM works through a grassroots network of more than 1,000 activists in all 50 states and thirty other countries to end the unnecessary tragedy of factory farms and slaughterhouses.

FACTORY FARMING HURTS HUMANS TOO!

Factory farming destroys the environment, endangers our children's future, and uses scarce food resources that could be directly fed to the world's hungry populations (comprised of 70% women and children and concentrated in Africa and Asia).

Please join us... together we are ending the animal and human suffering caused by factory farming.
